Dr. Zuzana Palovic is a Slovak-born scholar, author, and cultural leader dedicated to reintroducing Slovakia to the world. After growing up abroad as part of Slovakia’s post-communist diaspora, she returned home to explore the country’s transformation from a closed socialist state to a dynamic European democracy.

Through Global Slovakia, the organization she founded, Dr. Palovic has worked to tell Slovakia’s story—its people, its struggles, and its rebirth—through books, exhibitions, and public advocacy. Her efforts were instrumental in reforming the Slovak Citizenship Act, restoring the right for descendants of Slovak emigrants to reclaim their nationality.
