Dr. Gabriela Bereghazyova is a cultural scholar, author, and co-founder of Global Slovakia. Born in socialist Czechoslovakia and raised in independent Slovakia, she developed a lifelong fascination with her country’s identity and global story. After earning her degrees in Cultural Studies in Slovakia, she pursued advanced research in the United Kingdom—completing master’s programs at the University of Exeter and the University of Bristol, and later working as a researcher at the University of Surrey.

Through Global Slovakia, Dr. Bereghazyova has dedicated herself to reconnecting Slovaks worldwide with their heritage, bridging academic insight with storytelling that celebrates Slovakia’s culture, history, and transformation on the world stage.
