Dr Katarina Babcakova is a leading Slovak ethnoarcheologist. Currently working as a folklore expert at the National Awareness Center and the Stara Lubovna Museum, Dr Babcakova specializes in folk dance and Rusyn folk culture, customs and symbols especially. Katarina is not just an academic, she is actively engaged in activities that bring folk culture to life – from choreographing folk dance programs to festivals and competitions.
