Rusyns are a fascinating nation with an ancient culture and resilient roots.

At the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, countless Rusyn men, women, and children left Slovakia to pursue their dreams in America. Some returned, but many others did not. Today, their offspring rediscover the Rusyn legacy.

To allow their descendants to return to their ancestral homeland, Professor Magocsi has created a special annual program. It brings American Rusyns to Prešov in eastern Slovakia every year.
