Some say that the soul of Slovakia is in the east. Its wooden churches, stunning medieval towns, mountains, and forests are truly sights to behold. Step into a different world and discover the marvels of eastern Slovakia at the time of the year when Slovaks honor their ancestors. Experience the atmosphere of All Saints Day with us!

$2,999 per person

Please note that the price does not include accommodation. The lodging cost in a single occupancy room is $800 per person. The cost of a double room is $900 for the trip. The prices include breakfast.  Come as a couple and save $350!

Day 1
Welcome

We will pick you up in Bratislava. Together we will set out into the charming countryside, stopping at a place that few get to visit. An ancient monastery is a hidden gem that was once the beating spiritual heart of the Kingdom of Hungary!

Day 2
Kežmarok & Levoča

  We will step into a different world in the medieval towns of Levoča and Kežmarok where time stands still. Although the towns are old,  the tradition of distilling herbal spirits in this region runs even deeper into the past. We will tour a local distillery to sample liquors that have been made here for longer than anyone remembers.

Day 3
Bardejov 

The town of Bardejov was once built on the crossroads of important trade routes. Today, it is a treasure that people from all over the world come to admire.

Day 4
Lendak

There are still people in Slovakia who attend Sunday mass in their kroj! You will experience this ancient ritual in Lendak, a tiny village underneath the Tatra mountains. Relive a Slovak Sunday as once celebrated by your ancestors. 
No Sunday afternoon is complete without a stroll and we will take you on the most spectacular walk. Is there anything better than a path winding through the treetops?

Day 5
Ladomírová & Bodružal

Follow in the footsteps of the most famous Rusyn in the world! We will visit some of the most stunning wooden churches in Slovakia and peak into the village were the parents of Andy Warhol were born!  

Day 6 
Košice

We cannot miss Košice, the jewel of the east. The city breathes with the spirit of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Tour the town with a man who knows all the city's secrets! Košice is also home to the largest cemetery in Slovakia. Paying a visit on All Saints Day will be an experience that you will never forget!

Day 7
Borša & Tokai

On the banks of the Slovak Amazon stands a castle that speaks of a time when a nobleman from Slovakia rocked the entire old Empire! Peak into the fascinating history born in the heart of the historical wine region of Tokai. Sample some of the region's best wines, a treasure seldom available outside of Slovakia.

Day 8
 

We will wrap up the journey and return to Bratislava.

Where you will stay

We hand-picked the best locally run, authentic, and comfortable hotels in eastern Slovakia. Villa Zvonica underneath the Tatra mountains will be your home for most of your stay.  We will also spend one night in Prešov enjoying the perks of its spa and we will close the experience with two nights in Košice where you will enjoy the facilities of a hotel located in a historic building in the heart of the city center.
