Slovakia boasts the highest number of castles per capita. Together we will journey into some of the most iconic and enchanting castles, palaces and fortresses - silent witnesses to the country's rich history. Coupled with honest and delicious food in humble eateries to some of Slovakia's best restaurants, this experience will indulge your senses! From the lowlands to highlands, we will discover Slovak delicacies and spectacular sites unbound*

Day 1
Pezinok

We will pick you up in Bratislava. Together we will set out to explore the charming wine-making town of Pezinok and sample some of its fine wines. 

Day 2
Modra

Is there a more picturesque town on the southern slopes of the Little Carpathians? Modra will enchant you with its fascinating history, stunning surroundings, and delicious wine. A stone's throw from the town lies a village that is famed for one thing - its roast goose feasts. The recipe is secret, but the experience is available to all insiders. Feast like a local with us!

Day 3
Častá & Jelka

Discover the glitz and glory of Červený Kameň, one of the most spectacular castles in the country. Its impressive interior is only matched by its exquisite surroundings.  Experience the fierce legacy of the former Kingdom of Hungary, immortalized in the cuisine of southern Slovakia, and discover a hidden gem tucked away in the gentle countryside of the lowlands.

Day 3
Orava

Heading into the Slovak highlands, we will stop at Dracula's castle in Orava. Perched atop a cliff, it must be the most dramatic of Slovak fortresses.

Day 5
Liptov

How could you not love Liptov, the beautiful region on the slopes of the Tatra mountains that decisively shaped Slovakia? It was and still is home to shepherds, sheep farms, and cheesemakers. Experience a small family-owned farm, taste fresh cheeses, and take in the awe-inspiring land. 

Day 6 
Pribylina

No adventure is complete without a journey down memory lane. Step into the lives of your ancestors in Pribylina. See how they lived, cooked, worshipped, and understand what propelled their decision to follow the calling of the New World.

Day 7
Spiš

End the journey on high, by venturing to the largest castle in Slovakia. Its ancient walls protect many a secret. The region is famous for its distillery tradition and you will be invited to sample its finest liquors.  

Day 8
 

We will wrap up the journey and return to Bratislava.

* Please note that every adventurer is responsible for gauging their own physical skills and health condition to participate in the itinerary. Although the itinerary is set, it is subject to weather conditions. The flow of the adventure might be adjusted in response to the weather. 

Where you will stay 

We hand-picked some of the best locally run, authentic, and comfortable guesthouses. Known only to the locals, they will become your home away from home. Delicious breakfast is included in the estimated price $660 for the entire stay.
